As a princess Merida should do what rules says. But as a individual she want a freedom. So there is many conflict between Merida and her mom (Queen). Conflict bigger when a witch take a part in. A spell change the Queen to be a Bear. More bigger cause the King have a revenge to a bear called Mor'du.
Merida only has two days to break the spell or it will permanent.
